When you prepare homemade granola you will need an ingredient that binds everything together a bit and gives a little caramelized and sweet taste. There are different options like maple syrup, honey, molasses, etc.

Our choice was date molasses to give an original touch and also because date and nuts are a match made in heaven, we love it.

to get a crispy texture is important to distribute the granola in a baking tray creating a single layer to allow a homogeneous exposure to the heat in the oven.

Equipment

  • Oven, baking tray

Ingredients
  

  • cups whole oats gluten-free
  • ½ cup Mixed dry fruits( lemon peel, raisin, etc)
  • ½ cup Nut mix (hazelnut, pecan, almond) (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp Flaxseed
  • 2 tbsp Cinnamon powder
  • 5 tbsp Date Molasses
  • pinch of Himalayan Salt

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat oven to 110 deg°C (top-bottom, fan)
  • Mix all the dry ingredients
  • In a baking tray with parchment paper, spread the granola creating a single layer, and bake until golden brown, approximately 10 min.
  • Remove from the oven, stir and bake extra 5 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool in the baking tray before storage in a sterilized glass bottle or airtight container.
