As we only need 2 ingredients : Dark chocolate (70% cocoa solids) and Extra-Virgin Olive Oil, my advice choose the best quality ingredients possible. The reason:
First at all, the purpose of this recipe is not only to delight your palate with an exquisite taste but overall nurture your body, remember that Chocolate with 70% or higher content of cocoa solids is rich in: iron, magnesium, copper, manganese and antioxidants.
Secondly, our other ingredients, the Extra virgin Olive oil is also a great source of antioxidants and vitamin E. Buy a good quality olive oil is an investment in your health, and you can use it for many other purposes like for example drizzle your salad.
To Prepare this Chocolate sauce you wont need any fancy equipment, it is super simple. The chocolate is melted in Bain Marie, it means; you break the chocolate in pieces place it into a dry heatproof bowl over a pan of hot water (not boiling), stir the chocolate until it melt. make sure the water won’t touch the chocolate. check the video below. when you have a smooth chocolate add the Olive oil, stir and enjoy.
